This may be good- getting involved with congregation politics, in my observation it can help them wake up.

Another elder came and told me I'm not an apostate and no-one can judge me.
by Julia Orwell ini'll call him bear, like teddy bear because he's big and nice.
bear's the coboe, an intelligent but jittery man who suffers from a host of anxiety disorders.
he 'just happened' to be driving down my street after the group, and 'just happened' to notice i was at home, tending to some animals.

I figured that too, hence I was very cautious and gave nothing away. Years of being a Jw have taught me to be evasive!

I chose and have chosen again. My mum raised me with good values and taught me about God and atheism and I chose.

Why so much sickness!
by Julia Orwell ini never met such a physically and mentally ill group of people outside jws except for at the local hospital or old folks' home.
from chronic fatigue to fibromyalgia to depression to arthritis to kids lacking lustre to heart problems to cancer, bipolar to every co and his wife having food intolerances.... are jehovah's witnesses the most ailing group?
what is your observation?.

Good point. I considered that too.
By lack lustre kids I mean kids that are dull of spirit ie compared to non Jw kids I observe thru my work, a lot of them seem to sullen and unimaginative. Teenagers are generally positive and excited whereas I find a lot of Jw teens seem to be either uber pious or stifled looking.

Yes I'be heard that a few times. Every little sniffle highlights how unendurable this 'system' is. Remember groups of sisters standing around at the hall, talking of nothing but their ailments and the ailments of others? Gets you down to listen!

Uh huh and the weekend is rolling round again in this eastern hemisphere of ours so who knows which officious elder it will bring to my door? There is only one left who hasn't had a crack at me, so maybe I should expect him!

Most-Ignored Scriptures by JWs
by Mad Sweeney inthe watchtower has been known for over 130 years as a great scriptural cherry-picker.
they pick out disparate unrelated verses and combine them to support the wackiest of wacky doctrines.. on the other hand there are many scriptures they almost never address, whether because they contradict wt doctrine or because they simply don't have a clue what they mean or how to spin them to the wt advantage.. one of these is revelation 19:1 that mentions a "great crowd" "in heaven.
" the only time it is ever brought up it is dismissed.

Teach the kids about north Korea and its totalitarian methods. Maybe they'll say, gee, that sounds familiar...
